IMA Locksmith Southampton

IMA Locksmith is a one-man locksmith business run by Richard Cullin, who has worked in the locksmith trade for over 10 years. The business serves residential and commercial customers throughout Southampton and all SO postcodes. Richard Cullin is DBS checked, and the business is Checkatrade approved. It carries £5 million of public liability insurance.

Parts fitted carry an 18-month warranty. APECS AP locks carry a 10-year warranty, while Ultion locks come with a £2,000 guarantee against break-in by lock snapping. Anti-snap cylinders are fitted as standard on every lock change. Non-destructive entry is the first approach used, picking locks rather than drilling. The business offers free home security surveys with no obligation.

Prompt, reassuring expertise with door and window locks runs through the accounts left for this Southampton locksmith. Richard is named time and again, described as courteous and willing to set out both the fault and the remedy, whether the work involves a troublesome front door cylinder, a replacement door lock, window locks swapped at short notice or a patio door that has begun to stick. More than one review highlights how swiftly he responds and how closely he keeps to the time arranged, and several note that he gets in touch when traffic is likely to make him a little late.

The standard of the completed work is called excellent, with locks fitted promptly and the surrounding area left clean and tidy. Charges are described as competitive and reasonable, while guidance on a key lockbox is remembered as having been offered without cost. Bigger jobs, such as swapping every lock in a bungalow, are recalled as being dealt with in the same efficient way, and customers say they would turn to him again for future locksmith needs.
