Smartlox Locksmith Edinburgh

Smartlox Locksmith Edinburgh was established in 2000 and is a family-run Edinburgh business. Steve Smith is the founder and a master technician with over 30 years of experience in locksmithing and safe opening. The business is fully insured and serves Edinburgh and the Lothians. It has worked with Ryden property consultants and The Bank of Scotland.

Smartlox offers a wide range of locksmith services for both domestic and commercial clients. All work completed by Smartlox comes with a full 1-year guarantee. All locks installed by Smartlox conform to British Standard BS 3621. Smartlox aims to complete work in a non-destructive manner on all locks, doors and windows.

Emergency lockouts arising from snapped keys, failed door mechanisms and jammed PVC patio locks form the backdrop to the accounts left about this Edinburgh locksmith. Steven, the tradesman named in most of the feedback, is described as prompt on arrival and efficient once on site, with reviewers regularly reporting entry regained and barrels or faulty handles replaced in a short space of time. The condition of the door afterwards matters to those writing in, and the recurring observation is that access was restored without damage to the frame or panel.

Communication features prominently as well, from an initial quote judged fair after a photograph was sent through to unprompted warnings about scams circulating within the trade. Customers in several reviews describe the advice given on faulty door furniture as knowledgeable and grounded in long experience, while others highlight punctuality and a willingness to attend late-night failures. Honest dealing and a tidy finish are noted throughout, alongside pricing considered reasonable for the work carried out. Confidence in the locksmith for future door and lock issues is expressed repeatedly, with the same name appearing across the feedback.
