Robinsons Auto Locksmiths

Robinsons Auto Locksmiths is a locksmith company based in Sheffield that travels within a 50 mile radius. The company specialises in non-destructive vehicle entry, car key cutting and transponder programming, including when all original keys are lost. It can erase stolen keys so they can never be used on the car again and provide a new set. It can cut and programme keys for most makes and models of vehicle.

It can extract a broken car key from the lock, potentially saving the cost of a new lock or ignition. It can repair or refurbish old car remotes instead of replacing them. Work can be carried out at the roadside, at the customer's home or workplace, and the company aims to reach customers within the hour of their call. Services include vehicle opening, keys cut to code, remotes, spare keys, remote repairs, programming, pin code reading and key extraction.

Robinsons Auto Locksmiths earns steady praise for its vehicle key work, with lost, locked-in and malfunctioning keys described as resolved quickly. Danny, named frequently by reviewers, is credited with diagnosing faults that had previously been misread and producing keys that operated both the door and the ignition, sometimes averting the need to replace a lock. A recurring theme is the speed of arrival, with customers recalling him reaching them within an hour and shifting his diary to accommodate urgent call-outs.

Expertise and straightforward advice come up repeatedly, particularly explanations of what is wrong and guidance on obtaining a spare key, without pressure towards unnecessary replacements. Charges are described as reasonable and frequently below quotes from larger nationwide operators, and both telephone and email contact are called prompt and professional. The work itself is reported as tidy, including dashboards removed and refitted cleanly, and his friendly, considerate manner is mentioned often. The bulk of the jobs described involve key cutting and programming, opening vehicles after lockouts and fault finding in Sheffield, and it is the reliability of the finished result that reviewers return to.
