Lock City - Auto Locksmith & Car Key Specialist In Bristol & Bath

Lock City was established in 2005 as a family-owned business providing domestic locksmith services. It added auto locksmithing in 2007 and has focused solely on auto locksmithing for the Bristol and Bath areas since 2009. The customer base includes individual motorists, garages, insurance firms and large fleet companies. In 2016, Avon Fire invited Lock City to train firefighters on gaining access to vehicles during emergencies.

The company works with major vehicle brands including Ford, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Volkswagen and Mercedes. Lock City is based in Bristol and Bath and provides mobile vehicle locksmith services across Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire. Its main services are car key replacement, vehicle entry, transponder programming and remote-fob services. Lock City offers a no-quibble guarantee on every key it cuts or programs.

Bristol motorists facing vehicle entry problems and key emergencies describe a consistently swift response from this auto locksmith. Barry is the name that recurs, credited with arriving at short notice, diagnosing faults accurately and explaining what is needed before work begins. Accounts mention new key fobs programmed on site, transponders fitted to replace lost keys and ignition aerials fully replaced, alongside an HGV driver helped after keys were locked in a cab and a deadlocked car opened with the battery then charged.

Phone communication is repeatedly called clear and comprehensive, both when arranging the visit and afterwards. Pricing is characterised as fair rather than inflated, and jobs are said to be completed briskly, often within half an hour. Reviewers also value practical advice on upgrading household locks after a nearby break-in, with the installation carried out properly.

The recurring theme is reliability under pressure: callers who feared a lengthy ordeal found the matter resolved calmly and well within the hour, and the same technician returned after the festive break to finish a key blade once the required code had been obtained. His honesty about earlier poor work by another garage, and his willingness to sort a key chip so that a second key proved unnecessary, feature among the reasons customers express gratitude.
