N L S Security Ltd

N L S Security Ltd is a family owned and operated locksmith business established in 1978, with over 40 years of experience. The company is accredited by the Master Locksmith Association (MLA) and has been a member since the association was formed over 10 years ago. It operates a retail shop and showroom on West Road in Newcastle upon Tyne, stocking thousands of different keys including Yale, Era, Chubb and Mul-T-Lock, and a safe showroom displaying brand new and second hand safes.

Services include locksmith services, safe services (installation, opening and removal), key cutting, auto locksmith, car key cutting and car key programming. The company provides solutions across the North East of England, from Newcastle to Gateshead, South Shields and Hexham, and its expert teams cover anywhere in the UK. It specialises in repairing broken locks and replacing lost keys, as well as moving and installing safes. Two online shops are operated: eSafes and Lock Shop Direct.

N L S Security Ltd draws consistent praise from customers in Newcastle upon Tyne for the breadth of work it handles, from replacing door barrels and fitting new locks to removing a stubborn safe from a property being sold. Reviewers repeatedly highlight the expertise of the staff, with Mick singled out as an especially helpful locksmith and Michaela commended for her friendly and professional manner when arranging call-outs.

A handful of customers describe how the team diagnosed a problem that might have led to a full lock replacement and instead advised on a simpler, less costly fix, saving what one landlord called a small fortune. The same landlord, who runs a letting business and has used the company for years, notes that jobs are organised quickly and that site staff are knowledgeable and professional.

Speed comes up often, with locks changed the same day and a fitter arriving within an hour for a non-urgent call. Past customers remark on punctuality, efficiency and the tidy presentation of old locks after work is completed, while key cutting is described as swift and effortless. A further point is the polite and attentive service from first enquiry to finished job, with advice offered without pressure and access arrangements handled considerately.
