Manchester Unlocked | Car Keys

Manchester Unlocked is an auto locksmith business based in Manchester. The owner and operator is Carl. The business has been operating for over 5 years. Carl is SERMI registered, DBS checked, and has over 20 years of experience in the car trade. He previously ran an IT business. The business was started after Carl's van was stolen.

The business holds £5 million public liability insurance. The service area covers Greater Manchester. Services include car key replacement, spare car keys, car key programming, vehicle entry, all keys lost, remote fob repair, broken key repair, Mercedes EIS repair, Mercedes steering lock repair, and Ford ignition repair. The business uses Smart Pro, Autel, ACDP, KTP, and Lonsdor equipment.

Car key replacement and programming for a broad range of vehicles is the service running through the accounts left by customers of Manchester Unlocked, who describe work on models including the Nissan Juke, Vauxhall Astra, Hyundai and Jaguar, along with older keys whose remote locking had stopped functioning. Carl is named in several reviews, credited with turning up when he said he would and finishing the task quickly, in one instance cutting a spare at a customer's home within ten minutes.

A recurring theme is that figures quoted beforehand are clear and are not raised later, with the eventual cost often described as below what another firm had asked. Reviewers repeatedly mention that when the necessary key was not carried at first, it was obtained and prepared without difficulty. Communication before and afterwards attracts consistent comment, as does the readiness to answer questions, including an offer to read and explain fault codes showing on a vehicle.

Customers also note that the work leaves no damage behind and that the keys supplied are dependable, giving them two working keys instead of one. The speed of response, including evening attendance once earlier jobs were done, is raised as a point that comes up often, and the locksmith's manner is described as courteous and pleasant to work with throughout.
