City of London Locksmiths Ltd.

City of London Locksmiths Ltd. has over 30 years of experience in the security and lock repair business. The company serves business and residential customers throughout the City and East London areas. The company does not use a call centre, and its average response time is just 20 minutes. Customers include office management companies, property and letting agents, landlords, building & maintenance contractors, government buildings, offices, shops, pubs, clubs, restaurants and residential properties.

It supplies and fits all major brands of locks, 5 lever deadlocks, latch locks and cylinders. It opens, repairs, replaces, or fits new locks to doors, windows, metal gates, garages, filing cabinets, bicycles, security boxes, safes, letterboxes and other items with locks. Locksmiths carry a wide range of all major brands of locks so most jobs can be completed in one visit.

The company will never recommend new locks when only a repair is necessary. It fits London and Birmingham Bars free with every mortice lock changed or fitted, with customers paying only for parts. It offers a free security check to homes or businesses. It scraps all metal from old locks and recycles packaging, and is looking to move over to green fuel vehicles in the near future.

Reliability and swift communication emerge as the qualities that reviewers return to most often, and the technician named in nearly every account is Ryan. Work described ranges from securing a newly purchased flat and a house move to maintaining locks and closures across communal gates and residential blocks, alongside key and lock repairs carried out over many years. More than one customer describes him finding practical answers to security weaknesses, including a solution for storing bicycles, and arriving within a quarter of an hour when someone had locked themselves out.

The standard of the finished job is praised repeatedly, as is the advice given on security technology, with customers noting that problems are explained clearly and that the same person turns up each time. Pricing is described as fair and cost-effective without any haggling, and the manner throughout is considered friendly, professional and trustworthy. Repeat business is common, with landlords and residents returning after earlier work and passing the details on to neighbours and colleagues. Tidiness and a measured approach to each door or gate come up in accounts of larger jobs, and the practical solutions offered for communal entrances are singled out as particularly useful for managing agents.
